Attention all people with boobs! October might be months away, but now is as good as a time as ever to remind you to GO GET CHECKED! In honor of such a request, here is a fun tit-centric campaign that took place last November.
In a distant land called Canada, the Nesters Market grocery chain gave its melons quite the makeover to remind women to get checked for breast cancer. On every mellow: cantaloupe, honeydew, and mini-watermelon, the store placed a witty “Have you checked yours?” sticker including a link to a site with important breast cancer information and prevention tips.
Not a huge expensive or difficult stunt – but a smart one. The stunt was organized by ad agency Rethink for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s “Don’t Forget to Check Week.” Given that about 18 percent of all breast cancers are diagnosed in women under 50, the campaign reminded people that regular self-checking can save lives, especially in younger women who don’t undergo regular mammograms.
